Eliana Estrada
BCA Violin | 2024
Eliana Estrada is a violinist from Los Angeles and is a recent graduate of the San Francisco Conservatory of Music where she studied baroque and modern violin. At SFCM, she served as Concertmaster of the baroque ensemble and was a winner of the 2023 and 2024 baroque concerto competitions. Prior to her studies at SFCM, Eliana graduated from Oberlin Conservatory with a Bachelor of Music in Violin Performance and a Minor in Historical Performance. Her primary instructors include Elizabeth Blumenstock, Marilyn McDonald, Joseph Maile, Cordula Merks, and Vijay Gupta. Eliana has performed in some of the country’s most prestigious concert halls, including Carnegie Hall, Walt Disney Concert Hall, and the Kennedy Center. She has also participated in numerous summer music festivals, such as the National Symphony Orchestra Summer Music Institute, Madeline Island Chamber Music, the Oberlin Baroque Performance Institute, and the Oregon Bach Festival Berwick Academy. In addition to her performing endeavors, Eliana finds great joy and fulfillment in teaching. She has worked as a chamber music coach and camp counselor at the Oberlin Community Music School and was recently appointed as the teaching assistant to the SFCM Pre-College Youth Baroque Ensemble. In her free time, Eliana enjoys going to antique stores, watching movies, and meeting stray cats in her neighborhood.
