Emlyn Ngai West Hartford, CT Emlyn Ngai holds degrees from McGill University, Oberlin College Conservatory, and the Hartt School. As violinist of the Adaskin String Trio and Concertmaster of Tempesta di Mare, he tours Canada, Europe and the U.S. He is also Associate Concertmaster of the Carmel Bach Festival, where is also director of Circle of Strings, the Festival’s outreach educational program for string students and teachers. He has recorded for Centaur, Chandos, MSR Classics, Musica Omnia and New World Records. Emlyn has been a faculty member of Boston University, McGill University and Mount Holyoke College, as well as Amherst Early Music, Madison Early Music Festival and the Oberlin Baroque Performance Institute He currently teaches violin, chamber music, orchestral repertoire and performance practice at the Hartt School where he also co-directs the Hartt School Collegium Musicum and serves as Associate Chair of Chamber Music.
