Elizabeth Johnson Knight
Liz’s has appeared in the Bach Festival Chorale since 2001. Between summers in Carmel, she enjoys a career that includes both solo and choral singing. She has appeared with Raleigh Bach Soloists, Winston-Salem Symphony, Ars Lyrica, Duke Vespers Ensemble, Sinfonia da Camera, Duke Bach Choir, Monroe Symphony Orchestra, Paducah Symphony Orchestra, and others.

She regularly sings with professional choral ensembles across the United States, including Orpheus Chamber Singers, Tennessee Chamber Chorus, Vox Humana, Kinnara Ensemble, and the GRAMMY-nominated South Dakota Chorale. She can be heard as mezzo soloist in Duruflé's Requiem on South Dakota Chorale's debut recording In Paradisum (Gothic, 2012), and has also recorded for Naxos, Pentatone, MSR Classics, and Affetto Records.

Her greatest love is teaching. Liz is on the voice faculty at the University of Georgia, and has previously taught at Southeastern Oklahoma State University, Murray State University, and the University of Louisiana Monroe. She holds degrees from the University of North Texas (DMA), Indiana University (MM), and the University of Mississippi.
