THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT!
On behalf of the artists, board, staff, and supporters, thank you for joining us for an unforgettable 88th Carmel Bach Festival! Together, we explored the theme, Dialogues. Built on the ultimate musical dialogue, Bach’s Art of Fugue, we witnessed dialogues between fellow composers, dialogues between performers and the audience, and of course, our own internal dialogue. Most importantly, we had a dialogue with you, our supporters!
All of this was possible because of your enthusiastic commitment to great music. Help us maintain this incredible momentum this fall. Please join us in making a generous gift to the Carmel Bach Festival today. Your support is a promise to the community that the Festival will continue to change and transform lives for decades to come.
“This year’s Festival was more jubilant, joyous and stirring than ever, with the entrancement between the audience, musicians and conductor simply radiant!”
- Hans Lehmann, Bach Patron

WAYS TO GIVE
Support the Carmel Bach Festival with a Credit Card or Cash Gift
Your generosity helps bring world-class music, education, and community programs to life each summer in Carmel. Making a gift with your credit card or by cash is one of the easiest and most immediate ways to support the Festival.
For questions or to make a gift by phone, please contact Director of Development and Community Engagement Sue Mudge.
Donor Advised Funds (DAFs) are a simple, flexible, and tax-efficient way to support the Carmel Bach Festival.
Much like a charitable savings account, a DAF provides you with an immediate tax benefit while allowing you to recommend grants to the causes you care about most—including bringing world-class music and education programs to our community.
You can easily recommend a grant to the Carmel Bach Festival through your DAF account online or by contacting your fund manager. Please ask your DAF representative to include your name and address with the distribution so we can acknowledge your generosity and thank you properly.
Contact Director of Development and Community Engagement Sue Mudge for more information.
Please note: The IRS prohibits individuals recommending grants from DAFs from receiving more than incidental benefits in return.
Invest in the Carmel Bach Festival’s future today!
A gift of appreciated stock can provide meaningful tax advantages while making a lasting impact on the Festival’s music, education, and community programs.
Contact Director of Development and Community Engagement Sue Mudge for more information.
Support the Carmel Bach Festival while reducing your taxable income!
Taxpayers age 73 years or older are required to make annual distributions from their IRAs, which are then included in the taxpayer’s adjusted gross income (AGI) and subject to taxes.
The Qualified Charitable Distribution permits those taxpayers to make donations directly to charitable organizations from their IRAs without counting them as part of their AGI and, consequently, without paying taxes on them.
You qualify if:
-
Funds are distributed directly from your IRA to the Carmel Bach Festival
-
Your total Qualified Charitable Distribution gifts in any given year do not exceed $100,000
-
You are 70 and a half years of age or older at the date of transfer

Restrictions may apply to receiving benefits when giving through a QCD. Please consult your tax advisor regarding the deductibility of this gift.
LOOKING AHEAD TO 2026
the nature of sound
Your gift today helps bring our 89th season to life. In 2026, the Carmel Bach Festival will celebrate music inspired by the natural world with the theme “The Nature of Sound.” Audiences will experience masterworks by Bach, Beethoven, Handel, Haydn, and Vivaldi alongside vibrant voices of our time, including Tan Dun, Nils Henrik Asheim, and Angélica Negrón.
Set against the breathtaking Monterey coastline, this season will be a profound journey through music’s ability to reflect, echo, and illuminate the beauty of the world around us. With your support, we can make this vision possible.
